Deborah, from New Zealand, and Andrew, from the United States, married in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in Tuscany.
The couple celebrated their wedding entirely at the Castello di Gabbiano. The venue is a 14th Century castle in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, just a short distance from Florence.
Deborah and Andrew prepared for the wedding in the castello’s characteristic suites.
The Castello di Gabbiano is a working farm, set in 100 hectares of olive groves and vineyards. A 12th Century tower dominates Gabbiano’s main terrace and the courtyard where Deborah & Andrew celebrated their symbolic ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed aperitifs on a panoramic terrace. Meanwhile, Deborah & Andrew wandered around Gabbiano’s gorgeous grounds and vineyards for photographs alone together. Then, the couple rejoined their guests for aperitifs on the terrace.
Later, Deborah and Andrew led their guests into dinner, in the main dining room, before dinner began with speeches.
The couple cut their traditional Tuscan wedding cake in the castle’s atrium, before toasting their guests with champagne.
Deborah and Andrew then led their guests back to the dining room, for post-dinner dancing. Later guests strolled into the charming gardens to chat, relax and enjoy the mild October-evening air.
