Katie & Ciaran were married on a splendidly-sunny December day in the pretty little Amalfi Coast town of Maiori.
Katie, Ciaran and their guests stayed at the enchanting Torre della Limonaia, which sits on a rocky promontory overlooking the Amalfi Coast, descending from the coast-road through a landscape of dense Mediterranean vegetation to a spectacular cliff-edge above the crystal-clear sea.
The couple’s wedding in the Maiori wedding hall, took place in an elegant parlour with a beautiful ceiling fresco.
After the ceremony Katie & Ciaran visited the charming seaside village of Cetara for photographs before joining their guests at Maiori’s Torre Normanna, a fabulous restaurant housed in the unique setting of the Amalfi Coast’s oldest and largest Norman Tower.
After aperitifs in the main restaurant, the couple and their guests gathered for a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony, to celebrate Katie’s Chinese heritage. During the Tea Ceremony the bride and groom offer cups of tea to their most revered guests and receive money in little red and gold envelopes for luck, gifts and advice and best wishes for the future.
Katie changed into a stunning traditional pink dress for the Tea Ceremony before the couple and their guests sat down to a delicious dinner of traditional dishes prepared using the freshest local ingredients.
