Caley & Paul were married in Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. The couple were married on the sea view balcony of Praiano’s Hotel Margherita, on a balmy September afternoon, in a ceremony officiated by a local wedding celebrant.
The Hotel Margherita offers enchanting views and a warm and friendly atmosphere surrounded by the verdent hills and crystal clear blue waters of the Amalfi Coast.
The bridal party was very much a family affair, Paul’s best man was Caley’s brother Stefan, while Caley’s Maid of Honour was her sister Nikki.
A violin and mandolin duo entertained guests with traditional Italian music as they awaited the arrival of the bride. The duo also accompanied the wedding ceremony, and during the post-ceremony champagne and canapés.
After the ceremony, Caley & Paul took a romantic walk alone together through the streets of town for photographs in some of Praiano’s prettiest spots. They even had a chance to chat with the locals!
The wedding reception was an intimate dinner at La Strada Restaurant, a family-run venue offering delicious Mediterranean cuisine, in the heart of Praiano. The restaurant boasts a spectacular setting looking out across the sea towards Positano in one direction and Capri in the other. Caley, Paul and their guests dined on the restaurant’s panoramic terrace.
The town of Praiano has a fairly unique topography, stretching from a beach at sea level, up over 350 steps, to the San Gennaro church and square at road level and on up into the mountainside. The charming and characteristic town sits between Amalfi and Positano and boasts enviable coastal views.
