Marcia and Ryan’s Ravello wedding was a wonderful opportunity for the couple to bring together their families and friends from around the world. American Marcia and Scottish Ryan, who currently live in New Zealand, were surrounded by their nearest and dearest who travelled from far and wide to the chic and charming mountaintop village of Ravello for the couple’s special day.
Marcia and Ryan and their family members prepared for the wedding day at the Villa Dante in Ravello, before the couple’s religious wedding cermeony at the beautiful Santa maria a Gradillo church in the centre of the town.
After the ceremony the couple led their guests to tRavello’s main square, for al-fresco aperitifs at the Caffè Calce where they were sprinkled with sugared almonds, rice, flower petals and coins, by the owner signora Carmela in an Italian tradition of well-wishes to a bride and groom.
Marcia dn Ryan then led their guests up along the cobbled pathways to the enchanting Villa Eva – perched almost at the top of this mountain village and offering elegant interiors and surrounds, flower-filled manicured gardens, and spectacular balcony views – for the reception celebrations.
During the evening, fireworks at a nearby village festival, lit the sky with wonderful colours adding another unforgettable element to Marcia and Ryan’s magical wedding event.
