Sarah and Adrian’s sunny end-of-September wedding day began in the stylish surrounds of Villa Silvana in the centre of Sorrento. The couple and their nearest and dearest stayed in the luxurious rooms and suites of the elegant-style villa which dates back to the early 1900s.
Adrian and his attendants travelled from the villa to the bustling port, Marina Piccola where they boarded a luxury boat from for a picturesque journey from the Sorrentine Peninsula, across the sparkling Mediterranean waters to the Amalfi Coast and the seaside resort of Positano.
Sarah and her bridesmaids journeyed by car from Sorrento to Positano, along the curving cliffside roads with their spectacular coastal views, to to join Adrian and guests at the Comune di Positano (Positano town hall) where the couple’s civil wedding ceremony would be celebrated.
Sarah and Adrian exchanged their vows and said ‘I do’, accompanied by the romantic strains of a ‘posteggia’ – a traditional Neapolitan mandolin and guitar duo – on the beautiful wedding terrace with it’s panoramic views across Positano and the nearby coastline. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests travelled to the centre of town for celebratory drinks and delicious nibbles at the Palazzo Murat, a historic palace hotel in the heart of Positano. Aperitifs were served in the sunny, atmospheric and incredibly romantic courtyard of this charming 17th Century venue.
As guests relaxed and enjoyed their surroundings, Sarah and Adrian took the chance to wander through the characteristic streets of Positano and down to the main beach before departing Positano in style on their luxury boat. The couple’s guests also enjoyed their own fun ferry trip from Positano to Sorrento.
Sarah and Adrian’s wedding reception events were held at the Villa Silvana, where pre-dinner aperitifs were served in the villa’s pretty, tree-shaded gardens, overlooking the Bay of Naples, with music provided by an amazing electric string trio.
The delightful wedding dinner was served on the villa’s panoramic dining terrace and was followed by the cutting newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance, where they were soon joined by their guests. In between dancing the night away, guests took the opportunity to strike a pose at Sarah and Adrian’s fun photo booth, creating and capturing memories of the fantastic and unforgettable day!
