Wedding in Sorrento

Jemma & Paul have chosen to celebrate their exchange of vows in a very intimate and elegant style in Sorrento.

The sunny day of the wedding at the end of September began in the elegant setting of the Hotel Riviera in the center of Sorrento, where the splendid bride got ready for the big yes.

Jemma and Paul got married with a simple but meaningful ceremony accompanied by the romantic notes of a harp in the gardens of Villa Zagara, where after saying  I Do  they walked around to take some pictures.

With a typical Fiat 500, the couple took a romantic ride along the coast until they reached the suggestive Positano where they took the opportunity to stroll through its picturesque streets and along the main beach.

In the evening they reached Villa Franca on whose terrace they made a romantic toast in the moonlight Jemma & Paul’s fabulous coast to coast wedding was delightfully designed and created by wedding planner Cheryl Pagano and her team at Bella Sposa.

Lucinda and Steven celebrated their wedding in the enchanting and elegant setting of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast.

The couple were married in a Catholic wedding ceremony at Santa Maria a Gradillo, an graceful 12th Century church in the heart of the mountaintop town. Santa Maria a Gradillo combines Mediterranean architecture with a mix of Byzantine and arabic art and offers a warm, intimate atmosphere.

While guests enjoyed post-ceremony aperitifs on Ravello’s main square, Piazza Duomo and before the wedding reception at the nearby Hotel Garden Ravello, Lucinda and Steven wandered through the streets of this charming little town, before visiting one of Ravello’s most beautiful and most famous landmarks, the gardens of Villa Rufolo.

The gardens offer breath-taking panoramic views of the rugged, brightly-coloured Amalfi Coast far below. The striking skyline, vibrant colours and dramatic light during Lucinda and Steven’s wedding day made for some truly evocative and eye-catching photography.

Ravello-based wedding planners extraordinaire Angela Malafronte and Rosaria Ruocco of Ravello Events, designed and created Lucinda and Steven’s refined and romantic wedding day.

 

Niamh and Gavin married in the pretty, seaside town of Santa Maria di Castellabate on the Cilento Coast. This charming and characteristic Italian beach town, within the Cilento National Park, something which particularly appealed to Niamh and Gavin, who were seeking an authentically Italian wedding destination.

Niamh and Gavin were married in a Catholic ceremony in the town’s Santuario Santa Maria a Mare. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests, accompanied by a traditional guitar and mandolin duo, walked to nearby L’Ancora for aperitifs on the beach-front deck, where they sipped glasses of prosecco as they enjoyed the early April sunshine.

Niamh and Gavin visited the Marina Travierso, also known as the ‘Porto delle Gatte  Santa Maria’s old harbour, with its characteristic 12th Century arched building, jetty and lovely sea views.

The couple held their wedding reception at the Palazzo Belmonte is a hidden, historic oasis of charm an exquisite nobleman’s palace with an extensive park.

The wedding banquet was served in an impressive marquee set in the secluded splendour amidst the lush green of Palazzo Belmonte’s Mediterranean gardens. Gold coloured chairs were set around tables with white linens and  golden candelabra centrepieces.

Following the delicious wedding dinner, the wedding cake was served on the lawn in front of the marquee, as apecially arranged fireworks lit the sky around the venue.Niamh and Gavin’s danced their first dance at the pool-side covered terrace, with music provided by a live band.

Niamh and Gavin’s wedding day was designed, created and perfected for them by Lisa Stack of Amore Weddings.

Paul and model Darya married at the stunning Villa Aurelia. The villa sits on the Gianiculum Hill, overlooking the city of Rome.

This 17th Century Villa Aurelia previously belonging to Pope Paul III. It was bequeathed to the American Academy in Rome in the early 20th Century.

Villa Aurelia has a very rich and important history. It is considered one of the most suggestive and beautiful properties in Rome. The villa is the perfect setting for a refined and stylish wedding celebration.

Bride Darya dressed in one of the villa’s suites, accompanied by her mother and bridesmaids. Meanwhile, groom Paul welcomed guests to the villa.

Following Darya and Paul’s wedding ceremony, in the villa’s beautiful Italian Garden, the bride and groom had photographs in the charming lemon garden and courtyard.

Then, the couple and their guests enjoyed aperitifs on the villa’s terrace before dining in the magnificent music room.

After dinner, guests enjoyed entertainment in the fabulous Sala Aurelia. First, an illusionist delighted guests, then later, an artist captured a Darya’s likeness on a huge canvas.

Following this, Darya and Paul cut their wedding cake then performed their first dance.

Then guests relaxed, and danced to the music of a wonderful live band.

The couple exchanged their vows on the wedding terrace of  Positano town hall, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

The occasional autumn shower bursts during Claudia & Victor’s wedding day, couldn’t dampen the lovely couple’s fun.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds visited some of Positano’s prettiest spots for photographs, cuddling under an ‘umbrella for two’.

During their photo shoot, the couple stopped at a look-out point high above the town, known as La Madonnina. This beauty spot has balconies affording magnificent views of the Amalfi coastline. The Madonnina overlooks the charming town of Positano, with its winding roads and pastel-coloured houses trailing down to the sea.

Then, from the Madonnina, the couple took the curving coastal road leading to Sorrento, towards another look-out point. Claudia and Victor visited the small area of towering pine trees, lining a balcony with breathtaking views of the coastline.

Later, Claudia & Victor returned to the centre of Positano, where they wandered through town. The couple enjoyed  the enchanting atmosphere of the vibrant town centre, before celebrating their marriage with a champagne toast.

Then, the newly-married couple rejoined their guests for further celebrations, beginning with prosecco at the bar of beach restaurant La Pergola.

Lucille and Kris celebrated their enchanting elopement wedding in Ravello. The couple stayed and celebrated their wedding at the wonderful Belmond Hotel Caruso.

Lucille slipped on her stunning wedding dress, while Kris waited in the hotel’s gardens for the couple’s first look moment. After their first look, Lucille and Kris wandered through the Caruso’s elegant interiors and gardens for photographs. The lovely couple exchanged rings and promises during
wedding ceremony in the hotel’s Wagner Gardens.

The gardens are a lush, flower-filled, Mediterranean-style idyll.The couple visited Villa Cimbrone’s graceful botanical gardens, the pretty, rose-filled tea room with its lovely cloister.

Then they walked the pathway to the temple of the Goddess Ceres which leads onto the  renowned Terrazza dell’Infinito. The Terrace of Infinity is  decorated with Roman busts and boasts spectacular and unparalleled views. The newly-married couple then returned to the Belmond Hotel Caruso for final photographs by the impressive infinity pool. Finally, Lucille and Kris enjoyed a delicious and romantic celebratory dinner.

Katie and Brian celebrated their Tuscany wedding in Sinalunga, in the Val di Chiana countryside, close to the rolling Siena hills.

The Locanda dell’Amorosa is a luxury country hotel estate dating back to the 14th Century, featuring stunning grounds and views.

Katie and Brian chose the venue having stayed there during a previous visit to Italy, for their first holiday together.

The couple married in an intimate symbolic ceremony Amorosa’s pretty gardens, under the shade of secular trees. During the ceremony, guests warmed the couple’s wedding rings with their blessings as part of a ring-warming rite.

During a celebratory champagne toast, guests sampled a selection of Tuscan breads, cheeses, meats, jams and honeys in the gardens.

Meanwhile, Katie and Brian captured photos in some of their favourite settings at Amorosa, including the pool area. The pool boasts enviable view of the spectacular local landscape of fields and hills scattered with vineyards and olive groves.

Later, Katie, Brian and their guests dined in Amorosa’s delightful restaurant, Le Coccole dell’Amorosa. The restaurant is a carefully restored Medieval stable, with original features, decorated in a charming country style.

Notably, Tuscan and Mediterranean culinary traditions inspire Le Coccole’s innovative seasonal menus, featuring modern interpretations of traditional recipes.

The unique  beauty of Positano transported Meredith and Zac, and a close group of friends and family  to celebrate their wedding in one of the most romantic settings in the world and in an exclusive location among the most beautiful of Amalfi Coast as Villa San Giacomo,

an intimate and welcoming holiday home, offering one of the most romantic and suggestive views of Positano Built in 1741,

The entire event took place at the magnificent Villa San Giacomo, with a symbolic ceremony celebrated on the panoramic terrace with the sea in the background and a magnificent panoramic view of Positano and a romantic outdoor dinner.

After dinner, the bride and groom moved to the adjacent garden to cut the cake, with the backdrop of the thousand lights of the coastal evening.

Meanwhile, the dinner area was transformed into a striking dance set, which hosted Meredith and Zac first danc

 

Andrea and Nolan celebrated their romantic and intimate family wedding in the mountaintop Amalfi Coast town of Ravello.

The couple and their guests, stayed at the Hotel La Moresca, a converted house featuring traditional Ravello architecture. The hotel sits on the historic Piazza Fontana Moresca, a square named for its impressive 18th Century Moorish fountain.

While stunning bride Andrea finished her wedding day preparations, dapper groom Nolan met up with his family  members before the ceremony.

The couple married in the Belvedere Principessa di Piemonte gardens. Nolan and guests watched Andrea’s entrance, escorted by her father.

Andrea’s mum joined Nolan and his family for the arrival of the bride, as Andrea was escorted by her father. A solo violinist accompanied the bridal entrance and played during the ceremony.

Following the sweet wedding ceremony, the group walked together through the streets to Ravello’s main square, Piazza Duomo. They paused along the way, as Andrea and Nolan captured photographs in some of the town’s prettiest spots. They even stopped to admire and play with Ravello’s adorable local kittens!

Then, Andrea and Nolan left their family members to enjoy drinks and nibbles at Piazza Duomo’s Caffè Calce. Meanwhile, the newlyweds captured more photographs alone together, around Ravello.

Later, Andrea and Nolan rejoined their guests for the wedding reception at a lovely, family-run hotel and restaurant, the Hotel Garden. There, they dined on the venue’s main terrace, enjoying a delicious meal while admiring the breathtaking views.

During the wedding dinner, featuring delicious traditional recipes made with the freshest local ingredients, Andrea and Nolan welcomed and toasted their guests.

Later, the bride and groom danced their romantic first dance and playfully cut their wedding cake, to their families’ delight!

Kelsey and Ian said ‘I do’ in the picture-perfect setting of Positano, on the Amalfi Coast.

The couple and their guests stayed at the friendly, boutique Hotel Bougainville in the centre of Positano. There, they spent a fun morning of primping and preparing, amid anticipation, laughter and prosecco toasts.

Kelsey and Ian married on the sea-view wedding terrace of the Hotel Marincanto, which has spectacular views of the enchanting town of Positano.

Two of Kelsey and Ian’s closest friends designed and delivered the couple’s sweet symbolic wedding ceremony. During the celebration, which included family member participation, there were lots of smiles and many happy tears.

Then, guests moved to the hotel’s Villa Incanto – a Pompeian-red villa, decorated with lemon trees and trailing bougainvillea. The villa’s charming, tiled terrace offers views across the sea, towards Positano and Praiano.

After a celebratory champagne toast, the wedding party enjoyed an array of delicious nibbles, during post-ceremony aperitifs. Later, as guests soaked up the views and atmosphere, Kelsey and Ian captured romantic photographs alone together around Positano.

Then, Kelsey and Ian rejoined their guests for the trip to the nearby mountain hamlet of Montepertuso for the wedding reception. There, they dined at a charming and characteristic, family-run restaurant, La Tagliata.

On arrival, guests sampled a delicious selection of finger foods, created using the freshest local ingredients grown in the restaurant’s gardens. Later, they moved to one of the restaurant’s fabulous terraces for emotional speeches and lots of laughter and fun, during a delightful dinner.
